The Marching Cities Coalition wins the LGBT+ Diamonds Award for Initiative of the Year!
Diamond Awards are an award in which communities nominate individual initiatives, which are then selected by a jury composed of business representatives and non-governmental organizations. This years jury composed of Karolina Kędziora, Marzena Strzelczak, Dariusz Żak, Remigiusz Ryziński, Paweł Panczyj, Sylwia Chutnik, Bart Staszewski, and Daniel Mękarski.
During the Gala at the Palace of Culture and Science, the statuette was received on behalf of the Coalition by: Julia Maciocha from the Equality Parade in Warsaw, Wiktoria Barańska from the Equality March in Sanok and Maeva Topolska from Queer nad Odrą. This award was not only distinction for march organizers but for whole movement of peope reclaiming polish streets..
This was not the only award for Polish Prides Alliance – we also received a nomination in the Local Initiative of the Year category for organizing the Youth Activist Camp in August.
Apart from the Alliance, the following were awarded:
– Employer of the year supporting LGBT+ people: BNP Paribas
– LGBT+ Employee Network of the Year: Place of Pride (Skanska)
– LGBT+ ambassador: Ewelina Negowetti
– Partnership of the Year (NGO): Polish Society of Anti-Discrimination Law
– Local Initiative of the Year: MyGender – Scientific Circle (SWPS University)
Lambda Warszawa received a special award.

The Palace of Culture was illuminated in a rainbow colours, the gala was graced by performances by Nick Sinckler and Kayah, and the main speaker was Jessica Lynn. A great evening that we will remember for a long time!
