Before the Rainbow Opole Association was formed, our informal group consisted of 5 people and started in the spring of 2017, with 3 new people joining us in the summer of 2017. As of June 2018, we are a formalized Rainbow Opole Association, the only one in the region dealing with the situation of the LGBTQIA community, with 20 members and members, including a two-member board. The association’s goal is to improve the situation of LGBTQIA people in Opole.

Since 2017, we have been initiating a number of events in Opole to support the LGBQIA community. We_have_begun_our activities with two series of meetings: integration and discussion meetings. The former are aimed at integrating the LGBTQIA community (bonfires, joint outings to the cinema, trips to equality marches and outings to local events), the discussion group and youth group meetings are intended to provide the local LGBTQIA community with a comfortable and safe space for conversation.
